Incantation
Founded in 1989 by guitarist John McEntee, Incantation are one of the foundational acts of American death metal, shaping the genre's cavernous, doom-infused extreme with their 1992 debut Onward to Golgotha. McEntee is the sole continuous member across twelve studio albums, including Mortal Throne of Nazarene and the 2023 Relapse Records release Unholy Deification, and the band remains a definitive influence on underground death metal worldwide.
